If you ask Todd what his early days were like as a young, aspiring photographer, he'll tell you he was running around everywhere with his camera and rolls of film, making tons of portraits. “If you’re present in the moment and open to your intuition, it leads to a better photo than you could have ever imagined. And it’s a more honest portrait,” he says.

“Spirit of the Canyon” is an ongoing series in which Todd turns his lens on young creatives in Los Angeles. Replacing the film of his earlier days, he’s using an in-camera technique, evoking the nostalgia of his earlier work.
